Purchasing & Travel website. We want your visit to this site
to be as productive as possible and we have developed some useful
tips to help you navigate through our site. |

Software
needed for Effective Browsing:
The
Office of State Purchasing and Travel website is best viewed
with Internet
Explorer 7.0 or higher.
Earlier versions of Internet Explorer may not support some of
the functionality used on this site.
Since much of the information
is stored in PDF
 files (Portable Document Format),
you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0 or
higher to view these documents. The Acrobat Reader
is free and is compatible with most operating systems. Directions
for downloading and installing the software can be found at:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
If you have not done
so, we strongly recommend that you do this step now.

| Site Design:
Our site is designed so that we may
present as much information as possible while simplifying your
ability to locate the items you need. Here is a brief description
of our site design and how it can help you find what you need.

Menu: |

Our menu, located on the left side of most
pages, aids in categorizing the information on our site.
If you move your mouse cursor over one of the menu items,
a fly-out window will appear with all related links to
that menu item. What if the fly-out window does not appear?
Click on the menu item and it will direct you to a page
that also contains the links. |

Buttons: |

Our buttons, located at the
bottom of most pages, allows us to present links concerning
our site as a whole. These items include a navigating
tips, site index, and Louisiana maps. We also have included
a "contacts" button. This will allow you instant access
to contact information, just in case you have a question
or comment to share with us.
Because some of our pages contain mass amounts of information,
we could not provide some features on the pages. Instead,
we provide a link that will bring you back to our homepage.

logos, located at the top of most pages, will bring
you to the homepages for each site respectively.

| How to use Adobe Reader with our site: |

Once Adobe Reader
has been installed on your computer, you may view any
web pages that are in "Portable Document
Format" (denoted by .pdf extentions).
To view the page, all you have to do is click on the
link. Your browser will automatically detect the Adobe
Reader software, and the page will open in your web
browser. You may print the document by clicking the
Print button in the Reader Toobar. For more information
