WHEREAS,���Executive Order No. MJF 2000-6, as amended by Executive Order No. MJF 2001-6 , established the Louisiana Women's Policy and Research Commission in the executive department, Office of the Governor, charging it with the duty of advising the governor on the means to help Louisiana women achieve their fullest potential; and
WHEREAS,���Act No. 668 of the 2003 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature, effective June 27, 2003, enacted R.S. 46:2525 to statutorily create the Louisiana Women's Policy and Research Commission within the executive department, Governor's Office on Women's Policy;
NOW THEREFORE, I, M.J. "MIKE" FOSTER, JR., Governor of the state of Louisiana, by virtue of the authority vested by the Constitution and laws of the state of Louisiana, do hereby order and direct as follows:
SECTION 1:���Executive Order No. MJF 2000-6, issued on February 16, 2000, and Executive Order No. MJF 2001-6, issued on February 9, 2001, are hereby terminated and rescinded.
SECTION 2:���This Order is effective upon signature.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have set my hand officially and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of Louisiana, at the Capitol, in the city of Baton Rouge, on this 7th day of October, 2003.
