SUBJECT:  Established agency organization structure

Due to ISIS processing requirements incurred during the Fiscal Year 2000 annual close, the Office of Statewide Reporting and Accounting Policy (OSRAP) entered organizations in FY 2001 that existed and had activity in prior fiscal years 1996/1997-1998/1999. These organizations did not have any activity in FY 2000. The BSOPEN detail ledger that is used in the Annual Close process holds summation entries for all closed fiscal years. ISIS performs a lookup in the current year against the ORG2 table to create reports. When ISIS could not find these organizations in the affected agencies’ structure, the Annual Close process could not complete. This made it necessary for OSRAP to add these organizations with an inactive status to FY2001 on the ORG2 table. NYTI will not roll these organizations into your FY2002 structure because they are inactive. It is our understanding this problem will not recur in the Fiscal Year 2001 annual close next fall.

Due to changes in some of the agencies, it may have been necessary to change the rollup, exclude reporting categories or alter other data elements on these organizations. If you later determine that you want to reuse these organizations, please review the information on ORG2 for accuracy. For your records, we have attached copies of those organizations established that affected your agency. If you do not receive any attachments, it means no organizations were re-established for your agency.

If you have any questions, please contact the OSRAP Help Desk at (225) 342-1097.
