The Office of Community Development – Local Government Assistance (OCD-LGA) will soon be opening the online portal for eligible local governments in Louisiana to submit a Local Government Assistance Program (LGAP) application and/or a Community Water Enrichment Fund application for the 21-22 program cycle. The entire application process will be online this year and going forward. In order to access the online portal, local government officials must complete the User Access Request Form below and email the document to Traci.Watts@la.gov for processing. A local government can have up to three users with access to the online portal. If the Chief Elected Official completes the form as a user, the Chief Elected Official should sign as the User and as the Chief Elected Official. A sample completed access request form is also below.
Once the form is processed by OCD-LGA, an email will be sent to the user at the email address identified on the completed form with the user ID. A local government must be granted access to the online portal in order to submit an application to the LGAP/CWEF programs.
Emergency applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. Local governments interested in applying for these funds should first contact Jeff Tessier in the Office of Community Development-Local Government Assistance to discuss the proposed project. If it is determined that the proposed project meets the intent of the program, the local government will be invited to submit an application.
