Civil Service has categorized every certification that OTS supplied into categories regarding how much experience each certification equates to.
When reviewing applications, Civil Service will not review certifications unless needed (i.e., an applicant would not otherwise meet the minimum qualifications).
If an applicant has more than one certification, then those will be counted additively.
There is a standard substitution on all IT titles that states, "Two years of experience or training in information technology will substitute for the baccalaureate degree." Thus, if a MQ includes a bachelor's degree and an applicant does not have a bachelor's degree but has some combination of certifications that equates to two years of experience, then that will function as a substitution for the bachelor's degree.
This list will be reviewed at least quarterly so if anyone would like to add/remove certifications over the course of time OTS can work with HR to do so.
